Building an infrastructure for the new PricewaterhouseCoopers office

Challenge

PwC is a world leader in audit and consulting services. Fast development of PwC's Russian business led to significant increase in its Moscow office headcount. PwC decided to move to a new state-of-the-art 30+ thousand square meters office and required to deploy a modern, scalable and reliable IT infrastructure in the new office as a part of the move.

Project delivery

For this project, Asteros team used the SYSTIMAX iPatch solution to create an intelligent structured cabling system (SCS) comprising LAN and telecommunications devices.

Project statistics

  • 500+ km of cables
  • 14 floors
  • 6400 ports
  • up to 3000 workplaces

Network infrastructure implemented in the new PwC office supports intelligent monitoring thus enabling real-time network component management, providing high security against unauthorized access, and minimizing amount of IT resources required for network administration.

In addition, Asteros experts designed an integrated enterprise multimedia infrastructure allowing PwC to:

  • Broadcast presentations and multimedia content over 30+ meeting rooms
  • Broadcast internal TV channels in HD format over a few dozen LCD panels
  • Combine meeting rooms, training rooms and conference rooms

Project results

Relocating to the new business center helped us create a more productive teamwork environment, eliminate technology limitations of the old infrastructure and expand portfolio of solutions available to our employees and clients
